Response postcards for wedding?

I am thinking of doing postcards for my response cards. If you have done this, or are going to do this, where did you order your invitations from? I can only find one site that offers postcards in their package http://www.magnetstreet.com/store/home/market/517, and I want more design options.

  2. I would order them separate.  I got my invitations at the americanwedding.com and ordered the post cards from vistaprint.com  you can design your own and you get 100 free.  Good luck!  I would just do it separate!

  3. If I were you, I would not do postcards as response cards.  They are cheap...and they LOOK cheap.

I did actual postcards that I bought in the Caribbean on a vacation last November for our destination wedding in February.  Our welcome home party was celebrating our "runaway" wedding in the Caribbean in February...so the postcards were appropriate, not to mention different from the "norm", as was our celebration.

If I would not have been able to find postcards on our November vacation, I would have done actual response cards.

Remember: the tone of your invitation sets the tone for your wedding.  If they look cheap...

  4. its a great idea.you can always print them yourself if you have a program to do that or have a family member do it for you,its way cheaper.

order from professional you are looking at anywhere from $150 and up.do it yourself its like $50

  5. I've seen this done before and it looks perfectly fine, especially if you can have little details on the postcard that match the invitation (same color ink, etc). A friend of mine designed her own invitations and response postcards and had them printed at Kinko's.

Ask your friends and family if they know or work with any graphic designers who do a little freelance on the side. You'll be surprised at how many offers you get.

  6. Order them from http://www.vistaprint.com

They usually give 100 for free and you can design them however you like. You can even make them very simple so it'd match your invitations or order invitations from them (make sure you get it in linen paper) and just add a ribbon to it all to match and look beautiful.

Or find a local printing shop that would print the postcards for you in the design you want.

    All the best :)

  7. you can get low cost custom design services and printing from ReducedPrinting.com

They can probably design anything for you

  8. I used postcards for RSVPs.  I was a little worried about them getting lost in the mail though.  So far, no problems.  A friend of mine referred me to a friend who does invitations on the side as a hobby.  you could try to do it yourself if you are feeling ambitious.  You can buy printable postcards at office depot, office max etc. and print them up.
