Responsible Trash Disposal-Ideas?

I have a huge problem. I rent my house to a tenant who despite several times explaining how to segregate different types of trash(recyclable, organic etc), keeps putting everything together - which would end up in landfills. I am so fedup that i am ready to give him notice to leave. What can i do before i take the last step?

Just that, let them know how serious you are about it.  But for you to be-able to legally evict them, your trash rules need to be in the lease, other than that when their lease is up all you can do is give them a "notice to quit" and let them know why.  However, if you don't want to or legally can't kick them out, the best way to handle it is to give them a written notice that you will access a fine (25 dollars or the like) whenever they do stupid stuff.
