I jailbroke my 8g ipod a long time ago, now i just bought a mac and am getting a free one, i reset all the original settings and took off everything so i could sell it, and i also upgraded it to 1.1.5. It is saying that 6. something gigs is filled up and i only have 2. something left? Nothing is on it, no songs movies or anything. In the itunes window it says that the space is being used by "other"

Someone please let me no what is wrong and/or how to fix it?

  1. What you have to remember is that the software also takes up storage space on the ipod. The best way to do things is to hit the restore to original settings button and then you should be in business.

  2. completely reset it and then restore it, hold the home button and the lock button at the same time for about 7 seconds untill youre ipod goes off, then let go of the buttons and hold the home button while plugging your ipod into your computer, then it will reset it, then on the itunes home page click the restore and then it will restore it to its factory settings, hope this helps

  3. this is directions to restarting your ipod.
