Rest after playing basketball?

I play basketball everyday for about hour and a half and i was wondering should i rest? I know you need rest days when u weight lift or do some intense cardiovascular workouts but do i need rest days from playing basketball?

  1. As long as your body can tolerate it. But my suggestion is to play basketball only 6 days in a week, 3 times lift weight and 1 time Intense cardiovascular workouts.

    Here is my suggestion:

    Sunday: Play basketball only

    Monday: Lift weights and play basketball

    Tuesday: Play basketball only

    Wednesday: Intense cardiovascular workout only

    Thursday: Lift weight and play basketball

    Friday: Play basketball only

    Saturday: Lift weight and play basketball

    * I think this schedule would still give you time for everything: Work on your basketball skills lift weights and works on your cardiovascular conditioning.
