Rest of Felix Trinidad's Career?

Felix Trinidad has only had 4 fights in the past 7 years but is still looking for the big fights. Should he continue being a part time fighter. Dedicate himself full time and try to be a title contender or have a Farewell year like Oscar DLH. What would you like to see from Trinidad out of the three scenarios.

  1. I would pick the thirs Scenario, and De La Hoya did win their fight at the very least it was a draw.

Roy Jones kicked Trinidad's butt so bad, i wouldn't blame him if he retired after that

  2. well he should meet de la hoya at a catch weight since oscar wants to fight 3 times this year it could be a good fight and it will make ALOT of money the fight ofcource should be around december and btw de la hoya won the first one hands down and lets go mets ! lol

  3. Felix Trinidad was a great fighter, but he has not won a fight since 2004.  His time has passed and I would actually prefer him to retire rather than the three scenarios that you presented.  Being a part-time fighter is not going to do any good for him because each time after he takes a layoff, he will be more rusty, older, and out of shape.  I highly doubt that he can dedicate himself to being a full-time fighter again because he can hardly make 170 pounds- keep in mind that he turned pro as a welterweight.  He simply cannot compete at that high of a weight, and that was shown when he was beaten solidly by another faded fighter- Roy Jones, Jr.  If he has a farewell year, I don't really see any big fights for him unless the smaller guys move up in weight to fight him because he can't beat any of the top guys between 160 and 175.  He is a first-ballot hall of famer and he really does not have anything left to prove- his three losses were very credible and nothing to be ashamed of because they came to other good fighters (Jones, Hopkins, Wright).  Seeing fight at such a high weight and all out of shape is not going to do anything for his legacy, thats why I would be perfectly fine with him hanging up the gloves if he decides to do that.

  4. It,s a sad day when our champions lose what made them great weather it,s their physical skills or their desire to be the best and do what it takes to be the best I think Trinidad should just retire he can,t make weight any more so if he does fight at a higher weight he will only be a shadow of him self
