Question:

Restating a question re my 1978 Vespa Piaggio Caio Moped?

In my question, I asked what this moped was worth, but I think I confused the question. This is a true moped, not a scooter. It has to either be pedalled to start, or started on the kickstand and then run. As I mentioned in my previous question, it is in excellent condition and runs great. What is it worth?

  1. it doesn't really have any set value... it's only worth what you can get someone to pay for it.... now generally, they hold their value well... but i've seen no pictures, and you give no real detail (is it all orignial? aftermarket peices added on? if it's all original it's worth a good bit, if you can find a collector (easy if you live in big cities like houston) that wants it.

  2. Mopeds are tough to sell, if someone really wanted it, you may get $1200 at most for it depending on the condition of it.
