Do you let the quality of the food effect the amount of your tip?

  1. Not usually. Unless the server let it sit in the window till it's cold or something.


  2. Not at all...it's not the servers fault if the food isn't to the satisfaction of the customer.  It's the chef/cook's fault.  I tip my server based on the quality of their service!

  3. No.  It's not the server's fault (usually) if the food is poor quality.  I tip according to the service I receive from the waiter.  Cooks/Chefs receive a standard wage/salary.

  4. Nope. . . it depends on the service of the waiter/waitress.  They have nothing to do with the quality of the food.

    since my tip is mainly going towards my server, i should tip based on how well they did their job

  6. Well i only tip on matter of waitress/waiter's, how good their service was, how welcome they made me feel, i wouldn't let the food effect that!

  7. Not usually because its not the server's fault if the food stinks.  I will let it effect the tip if the food is bad AND the service stinks.
