Restaurant Horrors! As an employee of a restaurant, what's the grossest thing u have seen done with the food?

I worked at a burger joint when I was 16 and some of the employees used to play foot hockey with the frozen meat patties in the hallway at the back of the store (including the manager) - It was my first job so I just kept my mouth shut about it.

I've seen busboys sneeze on the customer's plate, servers step on straws, and one guy put a spoon in his butt and served it with ice cream.

I worked as a waitress at serveral smaller restaurants, and I can honestly say that I have never seen any gross things happen too my or any other waitresses orders. And rest assured if I did see a cook do something nasty to a customers order I would NOT be afraid to report that employee to the owner or manager.

I don't work at a restaurant, but I've heard so many horror stories that I don't eat out any more.

I cook and eat all of my meals at home, and I pack my own lunch.

I have not eating out in over five years, and I don't miss it at all.

It's not really a horror story, but I love to tell this every chance I get

So I was in england with my parents, aunt, uncle and my grandma and we were in this really spiffy resteraunt. After we ordered we got our drinks then waited around for about a half hour, finally the waiter comes of and says "I have some bad news", my grandma blurts out "are you all out of shrimp??" and the waiter looks puzzled. He pauses and says "no, I'm afraid the chef has been arrested"

lol well I have a storie for you that are not really weird but funny and odd. Well my father once worked at a resturant and there was this studd guy walking in with what appeared to be his girl friend. And so after their appetizers, my Dad asks the couple if they would like some champaine. They say yes please. My dad comes back with the bottle and pours it into the mans cup. The man says "stop". And then he starts swirling the glass of champaine. then says "carry On" and when my dad left he was trying not to crack up. If you dont get that then email me and I'll tell you. The other story is that the two casheirs at an Arby's were flirting with this one hot costomer and they are like cracking jokes and making her laugh. THEN HER HUSBAND WALKS IN AND THEY'RE LIKE HIDING FROM HIM. so he beats those casheirs up it was soooooo funny.

I've worked in many restuarants- none do gross things or they're canned.Trust me, the horror stories are never true out in MA.
