We have company this weekend, and we are looking for a nice place to take them.

We need somewhere kind of expensive, also.

Last time they were here we went to the bonefish, so we are looking for something around that price.

Food wise: i think anything will do!

  1. Cafe Des Amis is a good place in downtown parkville on main.  They serve french cuisine.  There is also the Cedar Cafe which serves Mediterranean Food but it isn't really high dollar.

If you really want to impress them(trust me) take them to Weston.  There is a awesome restaurant called The Vineyards.  They take reservations and the food is awesome.  It is truly a destination.  It is located in a small house from the 1800's in downtown weston.  Weston is only about 20 minutes from KC.  Also, there is an Irish bar a block away that is underground and from the 1800's.  It is where they use to store the beer back in the day.  It is really cool.

The food is about 15-30 dollar a person.  It is 4 course.  And the wine list is good.  Try the Mascoto Di Asti.  It is a desert wine that is really good.  Their soup is famous too.

  2. Gojo's is awesome. Its by Westport. Make sure you get reservations though. Its a Japanese Steak house. It is soooo good. I want to back just for the mai tais. The  steak is the best.

  3. For organic dining, I like Blue Bird Bistro.  It's great for brunch/lunch and they serve the wonderful bread that's hearth baked in the shop next door.

Ruth's Chris is also a safe bet for a decent dining experience.
