He said I could choose, but I know it has to be a place conducive to talking...what are some good restaurant choices that's nice, but not super expensive? Good for a weekday date...I don't care what type of restaurant it is

Maria's Italian Kitchen on Ventura near Coldwater Cyn. cute place, full bar.  

The Great Greek on Ventura near coldwater cyn - great food, cute place.. waiters dance so that is amusing...

Spark Woodfire Grill -  On Ventura near Universal city - great but a bit pricey.

Mexcali - good fresh Cali-Mexican (no lard).  good margaritas, fun, good for a date
