Restaurant food quality

Restaurants carry so much food for people to order that I often wonder how they keep everything on the menu available and not have any go to waste. Is most food like meat probably frozen first or do they get it shipped in daily?

  1. It depends on the restaurant, but most of them do get meat and fish frozen then thaw to need. There are restaurants that get everything in fresh, though. Then it's just a matter of being really good at figuring out how much you need to order. Most restaurants have a bit of waste every day! It's inevitable.

  2. most chain restaurants where reservations are not needed, all the menu items are made from 5 or 6 ingredients that are always kept ready. only reservation restaruants will make things from scratch
