Question:

Restaurant in Vegas that is a must?!?

I'm from Texas and taking a trip to Vegas in approx. two months, Are there any restaurant's that I must eat eat?

Example, we don't have a Carl's Jr Burger place here in Texas, so people tell me that since I am there, I should give it a try. Are there any places on the west coast that I might not have that I should try?

Thanks for your help in advance!

  1. The Buffet at Rio

    The Buffet  Mandalay Bay

  2. Bobby Flay's restaurant- Mesa Grill http://www.mesagrill.com/lasvegas/

Cravings-Huge buffet with 11 different stations. Costs $22 per person http://www.mirage.com/dining/casual_dini...

  3. Our regulars and favorites:

For BBQ -Memphis BBQ on Warm Springs.

For Mexican: Chapala's on Trop/Pecos or SuperMex on Sunset.

    Italian: Macaroni Grill.

    Asian: Pumi on Pecos Rd.

Fast food: In and Out Burger (but I happen to like Carl's Jr too).

    Steak: Outback.

Nice restaurants: The Tillerman and Hugo's Cellar (big fav).

  4. Emeril's New Orleans Fish House!!!  Don't miss it!  What an experience!  I will remember it always, and I dine out a LOT

It is in the MGM Grand Hotel. Here is a link to the dinner menu. It will surely make your mouth water!

Last time I was there, they had a 6 course Chef's Tasting Menu.  I had an opportunity to try some things that I would never have ordered before and everything was yummmmmy!!!!

  5. Michael Mina.

  6. Don't go fast food, carls' jr is terrible.

If you have to go fast food, go to El Pollo Loco or Baja Fresh.

But, if you want a great restaurant and have the money, go to Raos at Ceasars, very expensive but great.

    Too many to list.

  7. The Grand Lux Cafe is a favorite--I've never had a bad thing off their menu...

  8. Definitely the buffets.....also the in-n-out and sonic burgers...not sure if you have any there....

  9. Go to the Rain Forest Cafe in the MGM Grand Hotel. The atmosphere is so fun and it is not expensive so you can take the whole family. Have fun!!!

  10. i am also from TX and have gone to Vegas many times.

Stay away from mexican and bbq. Not that you cant get good stuff there but it is not better or different than TX.

Depending on where you live you might want to stay away from Emerils. I love his restaurants and food but there is a lot of cajun/ NOLA type food in that area.

There is a Grand Lux in Dallas and Houston if you dont live in one of those cities - try that. It is an upscale cheesecake factory but better and it isn't horrible on the wallet.

Mesa Grill is awesome- perfect food.

Spago is also good for a taste of some California cuisine which I love.

If you want a cheap fast food meal- go to In and Out or get a Pinks hotdog in Planet Hollywood.

    Good luck.

  11. Top of the World at the Stratosphere Hotel. Spins above Las Vegas, great views, and the food was delicious too.
