  1. Junior chef, trainee

  2. Prep cook? Line cook? I think a line cook has one station and is in charge of certain things. Say the deep fried foods, another does cold sandwiches. That sort of thing.

A prep cook comes in and prepares things. Possibly makes the potatoes, specials, puddings, the baked goods, depending on the restaurant.

Good luck on your future endeavors!!

  3. It's called a Sous Chef (pronounced "sue") or an Expediter, or "Expo".  Different places will call it different things. Other places simply call it a Line Cook.

  4. If it's casual or fine dining, that could be the expeditor.

When I expedited, I would put on things like that and make sure the orders went out correctly.

There's no such thing as a "junior chef."

It may also be the sous chef, garde manger or chef de cuisine.
