Restaurant selection for business meals in the UK.... Please help!!!?

i'm an American grad student who needs to give a presenation about this todayif you can im me, i'd appreciate it...

Some of the questions that I'd like to ask are: how do you rate the type of food that is served, pricing, or location? Is there a difference between how Americans rankd UK restaurants vs. Britons? What do Britons look for (factors) when selecting a restaurant, pertaining to business meals... anything that you could tell me would be greatly appreciated!! If you help me, I'll even adopt a Britsh accent! haha

Obviously we look for a good choice of well cooked dishes, well served and well presented

We also look for a smart and discreet ambience.  Location is secondary providing it is convenient.
