  1. yeah but you would ***** when your drink was empty.

Nice diner in OH they dont bother you at all there is a buser on the table so you can call them when you want something.  WOrks Nics

    foods ok

    Sumburger

  2. My favorite is when they ask you "how is everything"

    a. Before you've taken your first bite

    b. With your mouth totally full of food

  3. Yes, sometimes. I hate when severs just want to try and flip your table and get you out of there, but most just overdo it when they are trying to give good service. That is why I never to chain restaurants, besides being bad and overpriced, people are trained to try and get you out of their restruant as soon as you sit down.

  4. Sometimes I get irritated, but if it's a cute guy I don't mind chatting with him when he comes by to check n_n I get a lot more irritated when they only check like, once during an hour long meal or if they completely mess up the order and act like it's a chore to get it fixed.

  5. it's a really good point.  however, i get far more irritated with bad service and people still demanding me to tip.

i think it depends a lot on the reason you're out.  if you're out to talk to a friend, then yeah it can be annoying.  if you're out to eat and enjoy the atmosphere then it's not a big deal.

a lot of restaurants are carbon copies of each other, so they have a lot of the same problems. it's too bad there isn't more variety.

  6. yes especially when ur not done eating or eating or didnt even start

  7. I think they stand around and wait until you have a mouthful of food before they interrupt. That always happens to me, anyway. Next time, I'll make them wait until I'm through chewing, take a drink of whatever I'm drinking, and tell them they just lost their tip.

  8. Many restuarants instruct employees to check on a table numerous times and to "flip" table as fast as possible.

You can ask the server at the beginning not to interrupt and hand her a nice tip up front.

  9. You have to understand that it's the server's job. It's a no-win situation. If the server doesn't check back, something will inevitably be wrong and the customer will complain. If you do check, the customer gets annoyed. It's a server's job to make sure that everything is okay and all your needs are met. Servers would get in trouble and possibly fired if they didn't check back on you.

Please don't be nit-picky and realize that servers are just doing their jobs.

  10. There is only one thing a waitperson needs to do and that is "anticipate the customer's need".  A good server does not have to ask.  If he/she is a professional he/she would bring extra lemon when refilling glasses, butter when refreshing bread etc.  Why ASK just do it.  Anticipating the needs is good service.  Asking is like saying "I don't want to waste a trip in case you say no.  My pet peeve is no appetizer plates brought with appetizer especially if we are sharing!

  11. keep my drink full without asking me if id like more, please
