All,

I am looking for some options for a team (20 people) dinner for next wednesday night in Chicago downtown. (July 30th 2008); preferably where we can get a private room and maybe a cocktail hour with a per person fixed price. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks..

  1. I don't know what kind of price range you are looking for or the age of the team (I'm guessing older because of the cocktail hour) but we always had team dinners in high school at Portillos or a pizza place like Giorddanos or Ginos East. The ones we always went to had private rooms.

  2. For casual, try Barleycorn in Wrigleyville.  They have a room upstairs and drink packages, as well as really good food.

  3. My favorite place for events like this is a restaurant called RoSal's on Taylor Street in the Little Italy neighborhood just southwest of the Loop.  They have an upstairs that can be used for large groups, and the best home-made Italian food I've had in the city.  It's all made from scratch, so a cocktail hour is a good idea.  We love the owner Joe Fulco, and he makes you feel really special and valued when you're there!  The prices are higher than your average chain restaurant, but definitely cheaper than going anywhere in River North!!!  Here's the website with info: http://www.rosals.com/

However, if you have to have a place directly downtown, call up Carnivale or Adobo Grill--they have private rooms and excellent Latin food and drinks.
