I'll be staying at the Westin Harbour Castle and i'm looking for restaurants in the area that are within walking distance. I'm not looking for chain restaurants, just something unique and fun.

  1. The Thia place somebody mentioned here past the Harbourfront Centre is called Spice Thia. It is quite small, but lovely food. It is next to a 'Rabba' 24 hour supermarket.

  2. I am a former chef and just up past the LCBO's Rare Wines store on Jarvis is the Town & Country Buffet, not a chinese place, all western, the area one person said on the Esplanade there is the Spaghetti Factory, Organ Grinder and others, at Yonge and Front there is the famous Shopsy's.

Even along Front between Yonge and Jarvis there are a number, I have not been down there for a year, I go the St Lawrence Market monthly but stick to that end of the street, if it is a nice day and light walk can give you more ideas.

  3. Great Thai Restaurant west on Queens Quay. If you walk west from the hotel it will be on the right side of the street - you will have to walk past the Harbourfront Centre. It is located on the ground floor of a condo building, there is a Hasty Market beside it. Not sure of the name but believe it may be Thai Hut. Really unique atmosphere and great food.

  4. I would check out RAIN @ 19 Mercer Street.  Don't be afraid to get on the subway though - it would open up more possibilities!

This is Michael and Guy Robino's restaurant whom also a show on the Food Network called MADE TO ORDER.

  5. sounds like you need a gps system.   go on yahoo local and type in restraunts in tornoto, canada

then compare it with the address of the hotel and that will determine your distance.

  6. I LOVE East on Queen St. by Much Music

  7. Toko Sushi Bar!

    It's on Yonge St.

It has the neatest concept to it! You sit at the bar, and food comes around on a conveyor belt. You simply take off the food you want to eat. Price is determined by the colour of the plate. Best place I've been to yet!

  8. Ahh great hotel.

Right next door is this huge ship called Captain John's

has great sea food.....if your here on the weekend try the Sunday brunch there.

Also right down the street over a Sherbourne Ave is the Country style buffet.

Not far north of there is a cute place called the spaghetti factory.... great paste.

Then there is the KEG .....if your a meat eater....this is the best. There are tons of these around the city.

Best on not to far from the hotel is on Jarvis very nice.

Enjoy your stay in the city.

  9. Jack Astors, outside of Rogers Centre, great steakhouse

  10. Spaghetti Factory. Also there is a hotel called "Grand Hotel". They have an amazing restaurent, with fancy foods.
