Ok, so this girl that I'm dating is all about trying new restaurants and mixing things up. I'm on the same page as far as that goes, But I need some ideas of restaurants that neither of us has tried before.

Some of the places we go the most are:

Texas Roadhouse

Smokey Bones

Olive Garden

Okinawa (Her favorite)

Caraba's (My favorite)

Shogun's

Kanki

Outback

Alehouse

Buffalo's

Ted's

TGI Friday

Applebee's

Her favorite food is Sushi, My favorite is Italian.. I think we've been to almost all of the Sushi places is Jax by now.. Koja, Fuji, Kanki, Sushi Rock, Okinawa, Shoguns, etc...

Any suggestions on places I should take her that would be a change of pace from our usual spots, that are really good places to eat? It doesn't matter what side of town it's on, but we live between the Orange Park and Westside area, near Oakleaf..

  1. if you like fried chicken, Jax is the place to be.  There are like 30  restaurants in tinseltown area alone that sell fried chicken.  Try Sierra Grille at southside and baymeadows.  Times grill at Baymeadows and 9A has like 30 different burgers.  Brooklyn pizza right near Times has the best Pizza in town.  There's a great Mexican place on belfort rd. across from St. Lukes Hospital.  I haven't been there, but schnitzelhouse at bowden and 95 seems pretty good.  Try Ruth's Chris downtown for a classy steakhouse.  Places to avoid would be the 3rd street diner, chinese buffet at tinseltown, and the all american grille or something at the landing.  There's a few cool places at the landing though - like the Mongolian BBQ place.  There's not much variety here.
