I need a really good restaurant in Liverpool for my boyfriend and I when we're there for the weekend soon. Need something right in the City Centre and preferably Italian. Something nice and romantic and authentic - i.e. not ASK or Frankie & Benny's. Thanks everyone.

  2. I know a really good restaurant in the city centre in Liverpool which is really great for food, extremely romantic and Italian. The aroma of garlic bread and sizzling pizzas lures shoppers and evening revellers into this delightful restaurant.

The Bella pasta. Located on 39 Ranelagh street, 0151-707-2121. Its on the corner of the street, opposite Lewis' and McDonald's. Its on the same street as central station, and I'm sure if you were lost anyone could give you directions. It's that good people queue up for hours just to get a seat! So make sure you book first!

Founded 22 years ago, the restaurant has an established clientele due to its fine food and lively atmosphere. While the house wines are very pleasant and priced at just £10 per litre, the extensive list of pastas and pizzas are great favourites along with the veal, chicken and seafood specials.
