Me and a couple friends are going to new york this week and were looking for some good resturants in time square any ideas?

Dallas BBQ and the Pig and Whistle (on 47th st.) in time square is good

The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is really good and you'll have a blast in there with the waiter's.

Last time we went to NYC, we tried all of the restaurants listed here ... and we were happy with each and everyone of them!

Chipotles on 34th street.Dallas BBqs in times square is also really good and not expensive.Chevys also on times square

I would suggest expanding your views to h**l's Kitchen just 2 avenues from Times Square.  Some suggestions, all along 9th Avenue in the 40s, and one along 8th:

Marseille(44th and 9th): Upper class French restaurant, excellent wine list, excellent service, fabulous food

Pigalle(48th and 8th): French restaurant, more moderately priced than Marseille

Yum Yum Bangkok III(46th and 9th): Thai Food, offers a prix fixe special all day(7.50 for lunch, 16.95 for dinner)

Vynl(51st and 9th): Retro themed restaurant, amazing selection, from veggie burgers to thai plates, and breakfast all day

Junior's(45th b/w 7th and 8th): American food, excellent cheesecake...

If you're in the mood for great Chinese food, Ruby Foo's is awesome! They're a tad on the expensive side though, i'd say without drinks about $25-30 a person, but the ambiance is well worth it!  And you cant miss it, it's huge!

You can always look at reviews for the restaurant on tripadvisor.com, it's my favorite travel website to look for restaurants, completely unbiased and have found many jems!  

Also take a few to just look through that website, you might find something yourself!
