Restaurants in the Belconnen area (Canberra, Australia).?

Question

I'm looking for a resaurant in belconnen that does banquet/smorgusborgs. Basically some where I can go with my friends where they can pay for entry and then self serve thier food so it doesnt get too expencive. If any body know s of any, or a website where I can find one?

Restaurants in Australia [with ANY service OR 'self service'] are more rare than

~bikini surf shops at the polar icecaps or

Best place to go if you want that kind of arrangement is a social or sports club. The Gungahlin Lakes club has a fantastic bistro, but it is a little way out of Belconnen. Next one that I know is good is the Canberra Labor Club in Belconnen Town Centre. Great bistro there too. You would have to ring to find out whether there is a smorgasbord arrangement.

The Labor Club in Dickson has a smorgasbord, but the food's a bit ordinary.

The Labor Club in Woden also has a restaurant on the top floor that is an 'all you can eat' smorgasbord arrangement. Reasonable price, and reasonable food.

But if you want the best bistro in Canberra, you can't go past the Hellenic Club in Woden. Only twenty minutes from Belco and with great Greek food.
