  1. Well I can suggest 3 ways.

    1) Google it in google.com.ca

    2) When you get there ask the locals. They know it best.

    3) I live in  Brampton, Ontario. I can safely tell you that theere are no lack of American restaurants. Some good ones are Casey's, Denny's, Applebees, Swiss Chalet. There are also those ethnic restaurants. I Don;t know your preference in food. You can find, chinese, lots of indian restaurants, mexican and italian. I am sure you will have no problem locating a good restaurant.

  2. Okayy well I love going to Montana's thats is the best and if you want a good pizza store try going to Boston's Pizza thats awesome. For your coffee instead of timmies get starbucks. And if you want different options for food you can go to the food court in the Eaton Center [[Big mall]] Its pretty close to the university this one but i don't know about the other once havin't been there in a while.

    Good Luck

  3. Yes, there are tons of great restaurants in the Streets surrounding the St-George Campus...  I graduated from the U of T.  Check out the restaurants on Bloor Street!  Future Bakery has the best desserts!!!! Happy Eating!!!

  4. You really think you are going to eat out, breakfast, lunch, dinner and meals everyday on the Bloor, University, Spadina, Kensington Markets eateries?  You really think you got the time for that as a student?  Do you really have the funds?  If you are moving to a dorm and it has a kitchenette, I think you should be looking to making your own meals.  I mean you don't want to be end up eating rice, pizza, hamburgers, sandwich surprises and Tim Horton's coffee everyday at the local fare.

The Toronto Star newspaper will provide a list of cooking classes every fall so watch the news for the list to be published on September 5th:  www.thestar.com

They have some classes for students, learning to cook and eat wholesome meals.  If you drop by the Kensington Markets you will find great food prices.

  5. if you are looking for a higher end restaurant, Ruth's Chris Steak House is to die for, but pricier...

  6. How about going to Google maps and trpe in restaurants in Toronto...it might even point them out on a map for you.

  7. that is dierctly downtown just walk a couple blocks in any direction and you are sure to find somthing for your tastebuds!

  8. There is a dining guide for Toronto that lists by area.  www.toronto.com/restaurants

However, in that neighbourhood you have an abundance of restaurants to choose from ranging from pubs to ethnic cuisine.

  9. If you're looking for a specific place then just go to their website. They should have a locations page. You can also go to yahoo yellow pages and put in the zip code and look up the restaurants there.
