My computer is getting really slow and i want to restore back to it's original state when I brought it.

I completely restore it, does it make it faster?

But there's a problem I have alot of important school coursework and pictures on my computer that I don't want to be deleted.

How do I go about this?

  1. If your computer runs Microsoft Windows then yes - a complete reinstall will make it as fast as it was on day 1.

To ensure that you don't lose your important schoolwork, copy the files you want to keep onto a USB memory stick, or burn the files to CD.

  2. back it up with external hardisk or dvd. buy a new computer that will surely sloves the problem. Thats what i did and now i can play pc games really well hehehe without lags

  3. Get a stick, ive 2 4gb youll be surprised what you can get on one

  5. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

You can download and scan your computer for free.

  6. You need to make backups on DVD or CD.

  7. this is very common. the slowness of your comp may not be any thing more than old files etc clogging up your system and taking up all your working memory RAM.

    things to do...

[1] use the disc clean options regulary

[2] Defragment weekly or after adding large file etc

[3] clear away old programs[ i prefer to Erase] but dont use an eraser if you are unsure.

[4] increase your virtual memory [ see help files]

the more you use your mac the more care you need to give. its like never servicing a car and hoping it doesn't break down.

you can also have a bigger Ram or Prossessor fitted to increase the work speed. good luck

p.s i resently done a clean up for a friend with the same problem amd found over 800mb of dead files of no use all not indexed.

  8. well the smartest thing to obviously do is to burn all your documents onto a cd or dvd--if you need to use them again, make sure its a rewritable cd.

save them onto a memory stick, because that way its easier to access them and theyre easier to carry around. maybe you could also put them on a removable hard drive if there is a lot of files.

    good luck :D
