Restraining order violation what's going to happen?

My ex followed me after I left work today. I have restraining order against him for past abuse. I've seen him on the highway at times but he usually went the other way. Well this evening he did not. When I changed lanes so did he, he began tailgating me. He gave me the middle finger everytime I looked in my rearview mirror. I called 911 and once he realized I was on the phone he sped off after following me for 2 miles and tailgaiting. The police attempted to call his cell phone and went to his home but no answer. What should I expect to happen next? Please help!!!

  1. If you have a court issued restraining order against him the police will eventually pick him up and he will be arrested. Maybe a scare will straight him out. Maybe its better to leave this be before it escalates into  something more serious where you regret your actions.

  2. You might be in danger. Stay with a family member. Preferably a brother or a strong male who can protect you. Take it to court and keep giving the police leads. if it gets too bad they can lock him up.

  3. restraining orders..lol are not worth the paper they are written on...ask anyone who dead from being murdered by their spouse...take a class on self protection and go take a gun class and pack one...cuz he is trouble with a capital T

  4. The police should arrest him and charge him with violation of restraining order. Probably he will be freed on bail. If I were you, I would be concerned about my safety. Arm yourself! The Second Amendment to the Constitution is there for situations just like this, to enable citizens to protect themselves. Buy a gun and learn how to shoot it.

  5. If the police can find him, he will be arrested and more than likely face jail time.
