Restricted credit card?

I had a Capital One credit card and fell into hard times and couldn't pay them. It says my account is restricted. I called because I had payed the entire balance and they finally helped me off by crediting my account about 700 dollars. The guy said that my account was closed and then I called someone else and they said it was still open they were just restricing it for a period of time. What is the correct answer. On my credit report it says the account is open and in good standings and it also says that it isnt closed by the bank.

  1. don't  go by the credit report -- they might not have the latest updates --- and based on what facts are in frome of me would say your account was restricted until you paid off the complete balance!!!  you may still have a balance because of fees and interest during the months you were not paying them!!!

  2. I suggest that you pay off the credit card, cut into hundreds of pieces, and mail it to them.

You can use a debit card and only spend the amount of money you have in the bank.

DON'T BE A SLAVE TO THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES.

OK a zero balance is great.  Save up and pay cash and you will avoid this issue in the future.
