How important is it to wrap the string around the tuning post more than once? I did not do this but the guitar plays fine. Is there some problem that could happen because i didnt wrap it around 3-4 times?

  1. wrap the string  makes it so that the string does not slip... when you tune it..

  2. theres actually a correct way of doing it, a loop with 3 winds but I just use 3 winds if Im sober enough, if not no one seem's to notice anyway,

  3. If the string is wrapped at least once so that the string is "biting" itself and staying in place while you play, then shouldn't be a problem.  Just don't slack the string or it will probably let go.

  4. Take it off and wrap it around more than once cus if you don't it might put too much tension on the gears it the tuners.

  5. dont take it off, because this will most likely break the strings, but just wrap it 3 or 4 times from now on...Im guessing your guitar isnt that expensive, so it wont make a difference in tone or anything
