Restructuring from one to several lists?

I have take over an old list. The current leaders of the group would like to restructure from a single list to a split list of "alumni" and "current members". But they would like to be able to send to both groups using only one address. How do I add "alumni@yahoogroups.com" and "current@yahoogroups.com" to the "everyone" list so that a post to everyone will cascade to the other two. The Add Member interface gives me an error of "Not an email address".

  1. first get used to tricks played on you then you might understand all you want to around yourself.Try to learn to sieve out the junks from the real. One did it to get the surprise of the day that he was not dealing with Yahoo but other junk one!

  2. There really is no way to do this.  It sounds like a good idea but with the way Yahoo Groups are set up, it just isn't possible.

My only suggestion would be to start a separate group for the Alumni.  Even then, the only way for one message to be sent to both groups would be done via email to one group with a cc: to the other group.  It would not be possible to send to both groups if posting directly on the group site.
