  1. there is a place in covent garden called fire and stone. they make an amazing pizza. it's really good. you can have a good meal there for 10-15 a person. which is graet.

  2. Mcdonalds

  3. THERE ARE LOADS AROUND COVENT GARDEN

  4. been to these places all very nice and prefect for a wonderful guest.

  5. Queens Head and Artichoke, a gastropub near Gt Portland St Tube station. Superb food, excellent atmosphere, informed wine list. Clientele is mainly business people, but not 'expense account' -type of business people.

There are some superb restaurants around Covent Garden, but they can be pricey. Queens Head has Covent Garden style food at Euston Road prices.

Avoid chain restaurants such as Garfunkles, MacDonalds etc.

  6. You can try

    www.toptable.co.uk

as they do special deals and offers and you can book online but maybe check the reviews on

    www.squaremeal.com too

Central London is vast - best to zone in on an area (like Oxford Circus or Covent Garden) and then search that area.

  7. Memories of China, Ebury St, SW1.

  8. You did not state what you define as 'reasonably price' actually means... ?

For a start, head to Belgos Centraal in Covent Garden, 50 Earlham St, London, WC2H 9LJ... Belgium food, endless choice for beer.  If you are willing to dine earlier they have a Beat the Clock on weekdays 5 - 6.30pm and you pay the price at the time of ordering, so if you order at 5 your meal is £5..  great waffles & ice cream by the way.  The bill is usually about £20 per head.

My Old Dutch on High Holborn is a pancake restaurant, which offers both savoury and sweet pancakes and desserts.  Very reasonably priced set dinner (about £15) http://www.myolddutch.com/restaurants2.a...

Busaba EaThai, Wardour Street W1.  No booking policy, just turn up, no fuss thai-inspired food... think of it as a Thai version of Wagamama.  Average price with drinks ~ £20.  Willingness to share table is a must.

A slight move up the price ladder is Arbutus on Frith Street in Soho.  You did mention a 'nice' factor, and this would no doubt impress your dinner date/ group as they strive to change their British, locally sourced menus reasonably frequently.  Lovely, would not fail to impress setting with some simple, non pretentious food offered there.  Pre-theatre menu is about £18.. total bill including drinks is about £25 per head for a 3 course meal and aperitif.

  9. Try www.5pm.com

They do restaurants everywhere in Britain & give you some good deals for set menus in them!

  10. zillis in the west end, mate, i had a cracking, quickly served meal with my wife and daughter before mary poppins, great cocktails as well (try the grey goose) and if you do go, try the suckling pig, nicest pork i have ever tasted

child friendly and very reasonable (for gastro food)

  11. Not entirely certain that there is one. try http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurant...
