I know that in a resume you have to put your talents and roles you've played and all that but what if you've never been in anything, not even a play?

  1. Try going to an Acting Agency, if they give you a photo shoot, that would look good on your resume.

  2. You need to be in plays, for a beginner thats the only way of experience.. Be in as many plays as you can be in.. even if your not the main character, also do drama at school and be in a local theater.. If you don't have a lot of experience no one will hire you, and an acting agency doesn't have to accept you.. you really need to get into acting before doing your resume, or getting an agent after doing plays take professional acting classes maybe even some singing and dancing classes.

  3. Liar you asked a qusttion a long time ago saying you would be on a disney tv show! AIRING IN EARLY 09 AND WONDERING IF YOU SHOULD LEAVE UR FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Well, this is kind of a no brainer, but if you don't have any experience or training...that you don't have a resume. If you're just starting out, you don't need a resume anyway, so don't worry about it.

In general, the sections are - Theatre, FIlm/TV (this can also be split), Training and Special Skills.

Now, if you DO have some performance experience in other things you can create other categories. For example, when I was just starting out, I had a category for music and one for dance in addition to theatre and special skills. As my resume grew, my dance and music skills went under "Special Skills".

If you're auditioning for plays at the school and community theatre level, you won't be asked for a resume. If a film is having a open call, they are doing so with the understanding that they will be beginners submitting as well as actors with more experience.

So, in a nutshell, don't worry about creating a resume until you have something to put on it. When that time comes, there are many websites (and look at actors websites) that tell you how to lay it out.

  5. you should start with classes at school then do plays at shcool build up your resume get experience! then get an agent and if you want to be succesful it will take years of hard work slowly climbing the ladder of success but if you get a chance to do somethign big go for it!
