Resumption of international cricket in Pakistan is my priority, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Miandad-c66580 – Cricket News Update
Javed Miandad, the Director General of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has expressed that resumption of international cricket in the country is his top-most priority and also wants to improve the financial condition of the domestic players.
No international team has visited Pakistan since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in March 2009, outside the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Over the last three years, the Green shirts have been playing all their home matches away from the
country, mostly in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE).
The 55-year-old former cricketer has been given added responsibilities of supervising domestic cricket as well as international operations.
The former Test captain claims that he possesses good managerial skills and has international contacts, which can be used to restore cricket in Pakistan, which is also the objective of the Chairman PCB, Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397.
"I know a thing or two about administration and organisation. I will also try to use my contacts to see the restoration of international cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 which is the prime objective of our Chairman," he said.
Between 1975 and 1996, the great batsman played 124 Tests and 233 One Day Internationals for Pakistan, scoring more than 15 thousand runs at the ultimate level of the game, with brilliant averages in both formats.

Since the last decade, there has been immense criticism on the domestic cricket of the country and most of the sporting analysts believe that it is the major reason behind Pakistan’s downfall in international cricket.
The former cricketer from Karachi wants to enhance the game at the grass-root level, in order to produce more young players, who can serve the country in the coming years.
The Director General wants to give financial security to the players at the domestic level, which will help them concentrate on their game, eventually benefitting Pakistan cricket.
"My first priority is to improve the domestic cricket structure so that we can produce more quality players and have a pool of back up talent. I also want to see the economic condition of players improve in domestic cricket," the former captain added.
