Resurfacing a Pool Table?

I need to recarpet a pool table. Can I do it myself, and how so?

Well,  it will take a few people to help...also, you need to make sure they still make rails for your model of table. If it's an old table, you will have to check out some billiard supply companys to see if they can get them...or maybe even the manufacturer. If they don't make the rails for it anymore, you can check to see if anyone is selling spare parts on ebay for that model table....but it would probably be a long shot.

  They probably make a tool that will stretch the felt as you staple it into the rails, but my husband always used pliers.

  There are plenty of other sites online to check out. If you have an old table, it's best to order by phone and let them know that you need the rails for that make and model of table.     good luck

Hire someone to do it.  It's not that expensive and they will usually give you a warranty.

You can do it, but it's not easy.  I'd check out a book at the library.

if you have never recovered a pool table then i wouldnt suggest trying to do it on your own ! all it takes is just one mistake and you could be in some serious problems ! i would find someone that will help you that knows wat they r doing before i tried putn the new cloth on ! you may be able to find someone that wont charge you an arm and a leg ! i charge 200 jus to put new cloth on and then 250 if you want me to relevel the slate but goodluck !!!

Reclothing the bed isn’t so bad....

Start by stapling the ends...make sure you stretch the cloth a bit.

Then do either middle pocket...when you do the second one make sure you stretch the cloth hard

Then you staple a corner pocket and move along to the middle pocket.

Staple the other corner pocket on that side and once again move along to the center pocket.

Then you staple the other side. Start again with a corner pocket but when you staple the cloth between the corner and the center, you need to stretch as hard as you can. Then do the other corner pocket and you done.

The rails are much harder and i recommend professional reclothing such like what this company does.
