Retainer question?

what does everybody think of the essix retainer (the clear plastic, NOT invisalign)

I have it one the bottom and the classic wire retainer on the top of my mouth. I like the plastic, its more comfortable and less noticable(even though I only wear mine at night). Although spit gets trapped in it but not as bad as with the top retainer. My brother has clear plastic on top and bottom and he wears through the plastic at his molars easily so he has to get new ones each or every other visit to the orthodontist.

They are nice if you have to wear them during the day and I find the bottom more comfortable. They don't work as well though. They don't allow the teeth a little extra room to move around so they can move completely into the right spot. That is why I was given the classic on the top. I'm not sure about lisps though because I don't wear it on the top. :)

they don't work as good as the regular metal ones. my sister had them and hers kinda sorta got a little crooked afterwards cuz you cant tighten them
