Andrew Strauss was of the view that winning the urn has been like finding the Holy Grail for the English team. Strauss further said that it is immensely satisfying to win the Ashes series as a lot of hard work goes into the preparation of the series.
Before the Ashes, England were quite optimistic of their good performance in the series, and Strauss even warned his players that England would not tolerate any passengers in the team during the series.
England truly have shown a lot of fight in the series and the best example of their fighting spirit was seen in the Brisbane Test, when the visitors bounced back in the match and scored more than 600 runs in their second innings.
