Retake maths or do a 4th AS?

Hiya, i'm starting A levels this year and i'd like to study medicine but i messed up my maths and got a D at GCSE and have now been given the choice to either retake maths and do 3 AS levels or don't retake maths and do a 4th AS. What do you think unis will want more? thanks.

You're only required to have 3 A-Levels to go on to Uni but a lot of them ask for a good pass in Maths. I'd retake Maths and choose 3 A-Level subjects you'd like to do for the full two years.
