Retaping my racket?

Is there a procedure that I should do it? I don't want to mess it up.

  1. i do not know what type of raquet you are talking about but the following is for tennis and badminton.  You should tape the handle in line with your fingers, usually from the bottom to the top then trim the ends


  2. i would assume you are asking about wrapping replacement grip around the handle of your racquet. remove the old grip first. clean the grip until no adhesive material is intact. replacement grips come have their own adhesive, and clean handle will make it easier for you to make adjustment if you made mistakes during wrapping. begin by placing tapered end of the grip (only one end is tapered) to the side of the butt cap (butt cap is located at the bottom of the handle, usually with the manufacturer's logo on it). start wrapping the new grip from the bottom. while wrapping, allow overlaps about 3 mm (1/16 in). the direction of wrapping is counter-clockwise if you hold the racquet by its handle with the top of racquet frame on the ground. wrap as much as you desired and then cut the grip material using scissors. secure the end using provided adhesive tape. hope it helps :)
