Retiling bathroom walls only, how do I protect the existing floor tiles?

I want to retile the walls only and probably put up new backer board and all, but I want to leave the existing floor and floor tiles intact. Any tips on how to protect the floor tiles while removing the walls?

plastic taped in place maybe with some layers of newspaper under it

Go Buy Some Masonite Sheeting And Tape It With Blue Tape So It Doesn't Shift And Slide I'm A Flooring Contractor This Is By Far The Safest Way Or You Can Use Masonite then moving quilts for superior protection

Tape down some paper board covering, it is safer to work on than plastic.
