Retired teachers, do you miss the students? Are you working in another field? How do you spend your time?

I think teachers have it great in retirement because they can tutor or work as a substitute part time and still make professional wages. Other occupations have less opportunity for retired people in the field.

I come from a long line of teachers...I asked my mother when she retired.How she liked retirement?  She said she HATED it...she missed her class,her students,the friendship of the other teachers...it keeps you active and alert...teachers should never retire.
