  2. Not sure how familiar you are with Toronto ... the best areas I can think of are:

    - Kensington Market (loads of retro clothing, not sure about household"stuff"), north west of Dundas and Spadina.

    - Ironic retro stuff can be found at shops on Queen Street West, between Bathurst and Trinity Bellowoods Park.

    - There's a cluster of antique shops on Queen West at Roncessvalles (sp?) ... this is very far west on Queen. The area to the east of this is called Parkdale and has loads of shops you may find stuff in -- some are trendy-ironic junk and some are literally junk junk. But it's all fund. Also, you can buy crack there, so maybe not super safe at night. But awesome on like a Saturday.
