Question:

Return address?

A member of a group I administer sometimes has the return address come thru as the group's name and sometimes as nothing at all. He uses excite.com's webmail function. I can't see that yahoo is responsible for this (it has never happened with any other person across a number of lists), although he notes that the webmail interface will not allow him to put in a different return addy, so I suspet it's some fubar on excite.com's part. Has anyone else encountered this? Besides telling him to question his supplier, is there anything I can do or tell him to do?

  1. I have never run in to this.

The only thing he can do is to check the profile information for his e-mail program to see if he has listed in the "Reply" section a different address listed than the "From" section.

As for your end, you can try checking his settings to see if all is ok there so that you can let him know what you have noticed if anything is different that could be connected to the problem.
