Return excuse for costco?

i want to exchange my camera for another camera (same model), because the screen keeps freezing 5 minutes after i first used the camera (i didnt do anything to cause that).....will they let me exchange it for that reason? what are other reasons that i could tell without telling them that there are defects?

Costco has a very flexible return policy. As for your specific case I didn't know if Costco would take the camera back, or ask you to deal with the manufacturer. I suspect they'd take it back. Do you have the box, or the receipt? Why don't you call them, or stop by their customer service desk and ask "hypothetically" if you had a camera that wasn't working properly if they would take it back.

Or you could lie. Tell them your parents / spouse just bought you one for your birthday / anniversary / graduation. Money back please!
