Return of period after pregnancy and birth?

I'm still exclusively nursing my son, but it seems like my period is starting up again in small doses. He's 6 months old today.

How can I expect my period to return, and is it abnormal for it to spot a little, even though I'm still nursing this baby all the time?

Mine never went away. Anything can happen to periods while breastfeeding.

this is normal and it is hard to know when your period will come back if you are still nursing.

Mine showed up after 3 months and I was nursing.  It's pretty unpredictable.
