hi there,

i recently bought a blender from argos and this morning the mixing jug fell and has a massive crack in it (it's not useable).

I would like to know if i can take it back to argos and will they be able to replace it.

  1. No as the damage occurred due to it falling, Argos don't and won't replace it, unless you say that you were using it for the 1st time and the crack happened when you were using it

  2. Accidental damage is not covered by consumer law. Either you'll have to buy a new jug, or before that claim off your house contents insurance.

  3. If the jug fell off as a result of poor design of the blender, then you can return it as 'unfit for purpose'. If you dropped it or knocked it over then Argos are not responsible. However, if you paid for it on credit card, it may be insured through them.
