  1. never had any problems with Argos refunds providing you have the receipt, even after 16 day rule ? sometimes.

  2. I have returned things to Argos with no problem whatsoever. Go back with your psp and receipt, and ask for a refund.  Someone is breaking the law here!

  3. If you have a receipt and the item is faulty you can demand your money back if you dont have a  receipt then you will have to take a replacement. If you still dont get anywhere go to trading standards they will help you

  4. What do you mean by 'looks to be faulty' ?

Just FYI to the people saying about the 16 day money back. PSPs are exempt from the 30 day money back guarantee. This means they CANNOT be returned unless there is a genuine fault with the item. This will have been stated at the time of purchase, and will also be printed on your receipt.

If it was accidental damage on your part, you are NOT covered by the years guarantee unless you took out the additional cover.

If it was a manufacturing fault making it not work (randomly not switching on etc) then the receipt will cover you as it is your years guarantee against manufacturing faults.

Do you still have your receipt, as proof it was bought from Argos? If you have no proof of purchase, no cat number on the box etc they are not obliged to do anything

  5. Read the back of the receipt.. gives you their return policy... Altho its going to look very dodgy that you don't want a replacement!

  6. u talk with that store mananger, 16 day refund, put in court

  7. Ask to speak with a manager. If u still get no results, threaten to report them to the Better Business Bureau. But honestly, thats the last resort. Check what their return policy looks like first. You failed to mention if u had a receipt on ur ?. It will be pretty tough to get an exchange without a receipt, unless u have some other form of tackability...like, did u pay with a credit card or debit card? They can trace it that way and should help you out in the event u lost the original receipt.

  8. I work for Argos and our policy is that if the item is faulty and you do have your receipt then you are entitled to a replacement or refund.

Your receipt is your guarantee, if the item is over 30 days then they may consider sending it away for repair if that is possible.

But 30 days and under you are within your rights for a full cash refund.

  9. That's odd...Argos always refunds me fauly items...They don't even check the item...They just give me back my money...

  10. you should be under the 16 money bk rule

  11. Yes.. If you have the receipt they HAVE to give you a refund as the item you bought isnt of satisfactory quality under the Sale of Goods act

Argos actually try this alot, you have a right to a refund, not gift vouchers, not credit, but a cash refund, or a refund onto the card you paid for the item with, if they try to tell you otherwise, ask to speak to the store manager and have a read of the site I've linked to before you go.

  12. headbutt the nearest member of staff..

no really.. they are obliged to give you a full 100% refund.. they have a 16 day money back guarantee.. its says it on the back of the receipt.

whoever you spoke to is just being a bell end.

this is from the argos website:

If there's a fault with the product...

    We've made it easier!

If you bring it back to us within 30 days with your proof of purchase*, we'll give you a

    replacement or a refund.

If you've had the product for up to 1 year, we'll repair the product or, if that's not possible, give you a replacement or, if that's not possible, a refund.

If you had the product delivered, just call us on 0845 640 0800.

Please note that all large kitchen appliances are excluded from our 30 day guarantee, but if your item develops a fault within 30 days we will send an engineer to assist you. If faulty and if it cannot be repaired we will arrange a replacement free of charge or you can opt for a refund.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

  13. I can't understand this, I have always found Argos to be more than helpful, if I have had a problem with a purchase.
