I got my Olympus camera from walmart about 65 days ago. It broke and im soooooooo mad. I kept the box and everything. Can I return it back? If not, then what should I do. (The screen won't show the pic or nething else put i can still take a pic. Also, I can't even plug it into the comp because the plug won't go into it.) When trying to shove the camera cord into i might of pushed it so far that it wrecked the camera screen.

  1. Your warranty (standard wording) covers manufacturer's defects, but not damage from abuse or accident.  The camera did not break itself, so it's doubtful that Olympus will cover it for repair.  Frankly, you'd have to shove the usb cord in pretty far to wreck the camera screen.

As for Walmart, here's a direct quote from the Return Policy on their website.

"Camcorders and digital cameras: Must be returned within 30 days of receipt. "

    http://www.walmart.com/returns

  2. You can contact Olympus for warranty repair, since it is still under warranty.

You should return the camera to Walmart as soon as you found out that there is an issue of the plug, because there is no reason for you to force the plug into the socket.

Keep in mind, as best Walmart will only exchange or refund you the camera, they will not hounor the warranty.

It is because the warranty is offer by manufacture not by the retailer.
