  1. yeah girl - my vote is to live in south - i born and raise in gulf view...not too much focus on the south land and to your north ppl..it not that far - 45 minutes to POS.

You'll get accustomed to life in T&T - i have many friends who have returned, and except for the lack of customer service..living there is not bad at all

  2. if u decide to come back, Westmoorings is beautifulll or if you choose to live South- Palmiste or Gulf View for cool , comfy, safe living..

  3. If I were you I won't come back here

but if I did I would live in the south

    Gulf View or Bel Air

  4. If you live in South in an area like Palmiste (i've lived there my whole life and i've never been a victim of a crime - ever!) you are more likely to feel safe. If you live in North, be prepared to make a trade off between living in a vibrant, beautiful, tropical country with the need to be aware of things like locking doors, staying away from certain places at night, etc.

To me it seems that there has always been something to prevent trinis from coming home. Now that its no longer a lack of comforts like malls and clubs, it is crime. There are currently very many (tens of thousands ) of North Americans, Europeans, South Americans, chinese, Phillipinos and others living here and they tell me that they absolutely love it, but dislike having to always look over their shoulder.

There are negatives too like the still decrepid state of parts of Port of Spain, but believe me, things are moving very fast with respect to housing and urban development and so by the time you reach here, all of that might have already changed.

I should stop rambling now and tell you that I really believe you should live in south Trinidad. There is a huge mall with everything you could want to eat or shorp for and the city itself is not crowded and threatening like Port of Spain can be at times. South is currently benefiting more from the oil boom than north because of location and many foreign yachties who have visited have told me how clean, genteel and modern San Fernando is. I may be biased because I was born in South, but I've lived in north for close to 6 years now and I still enjoy returning to south trinidad on weekends, even if it is not as much of a 24/7 city as Port of Spain.

  5. South is reall nice...it safe too :)

Besides, were not the only country with crime problems lol

    Good luck!!!  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚˜Âº

  6. I living up in the North ....but i REAL like South, infact i does look for excuse to go down there

Check out your options if you coming back (jobs housing schools)

If you thinking North then you may consider the Maracas Valley ($75 per sq. ft. now) could be the new Westmorrings.

The crime thing ........yes it is  a problem but as with anything you have to take precautions.
