Returning to work but paid at the end of the month - what about unemployment?

I have just started a new job that pays monthly. When I notify unemployment of the new job - will they cover me for the month when I'm working but not collecting a paycheck?

You are employed during the period and have a job which pays monthly ? If the State allows you to collect they will be committing fraud as well as you. Unemployment compensation is  for those who do not have a job. It has nothing to do with pay period.

No. Once you are employed you are not unemployed no matter the pay period. Unemployment will pay up to your start date and that's all.

Also by law you have to report to unemployment if you do get a job.
