Reus: Dortmund are better than Bayern Munich
The German international has rubbished claims of rejecting a move to Munich on the possibility of lack of first-team action.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733, a week back, was one of the most sought after players in the Bundesliga but his move to Borussia Dortmund has taken aback many as the German champions were not expected to splash 17.5 million
Euros on a player. Bayern Munich were the favourites to sign him in the summer with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 also in the race.
Bayern Munich duo http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 and Franck Ribery had openly expressed their views on Reus’ transfer to Bayern and claimed that the player may not be prepared to play for a big club. There were also claims on who would
the striker replace in an already star studded Bavarian line-up with the likes of Thomas Muller and Mario Gomez heading the attack.
Reus brushed aside reports claiming that he rejected the Munich giants because he would be warming the benches there. He insisted that his decision was purely on professional grounds and not on which side he favoured more.
The attacker stressed that, in his view, Dortmund are the better side than Bayern Munich and the club where he sees more potential to grow in the future.
“If they want to think that, then let them think it - it does not bother me. I decided this way because I feel there is more potential (in Dortmund) for playing in Europe and measuring myself against the best. In my eyes, Dortmund
are the better club,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Rot Weiss Ahlen striker also rejected rumours that he has had a dispute with his teammates at Monchengladbach over the transfer. He insisted that his current side respects his decision and admitted that his transfer
will help the club in acquiring new players.
“I have been treated perfectly normally by them at our training camp here. It is good for Gladbach that they now have a few months to prepare and hold talks with new players, and it is good that they have a few more million (Euros)
too,” he concluded.
Marco Reus and his side will face Bayern Munich in their next Bundesliga clash at the Borussia Park on Friday, January 20.
