The German international made his much awaited debut against Swiss side FC St. Gallen in a club friendly on Wednesday, July 25.

Reus expressed his delight on his debut and admitted that it was a brilliant feeling to play for the club he played when he was a youngster. The player insisted that he always wanted to play for the Black Yellows and to finally
be on the pitch with the Dortmund shirt, is a sensational feeling.
The former Gladbach attacker had an impressive 30 minutes and was denied a goal after St. Gallen goalkeeper made a terrific save. Reus claimed that he has received a warm welcome from his new teammates and is enjoying training
at his new club.
“I was delighted to play. It's a really special feeling to know that I've finally arrived here. It's fantastic fun to train and play with these guys, even if training is extremely intensive at the moment,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The German international stressed that he is fully fit and is eager to start playing for the Bundesliga champions in the new season. He stated that it was important to win the pre-season game against St. Gallen as the club has
the DFL-Supercup coming up against Bayern Munich.
The attacker is still working hard to improve on his fitness and wants to carry on his goalscoring form for his new side.
“I'm injury-free right now and that is very positive. The important thing is that firstly the team won the game and secondly that we continue to improve,” he concluded.
Marco Reus made his move from Monchengladbach for a €17.5 million amid stiff competition from Bayern Munich. The player had a terrific season last term and scored 18 times in the Bundesliga, accumulating eight assists.
