of the star player before declaring him fit for the league game with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
The playmaker started his second successive match for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 but could not complete the match after suffering an injury. The winger was substituted as a precautionary measure after being a constant threat for the Austrian defence.
Reus was named the German Footballer of the Year for 2012 because of a great season last term.
The striker gave the national side an early lead on the stroke of half-time on Tuesday but got injured celebrating the goal. The German double winning side have now confirmed that the forward will feature in their next home fixture
with Leverkusen on Saturday after recovering from a swollen ankle.
“Reus fired Germany into a 44th-minute lead but was injured in the process, with the exact extent of his injury yet to be determined,” Joachim Low was quoted as saying in an interview.
The defending champions confirmed that their talented attacker only had a contusion in his foot according to the medical examination he went through yesterday. Therefore, the player will surely play for the Borussians.
"Reus suffered only a bruise in his foot. That is the result of a medical check today," the club officials stated.
"His participation in the league game against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday is not in danger," the BVB side concluded.
The star forward transferred to the title-winning side from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window for a fee of €17 million. High expectations are being levied from the frontman.
The BVB outfit are currently sixth in the domestic rankings with just four points from two matches, with Reus opening his account for his new side. Dortmund trail Bayern Munich by two points.
