Reuse-able hand warmer question please?

hi this is a strange question but i bought a hand warmer and it came activated. so i popped the metal disked and did its thing and heated up. but i kept squeezing the crystals lol and now when i put it in the pan and reset it and stuff when i activate it. its not as hot and not as many crystals have i wrecked it or something. lol

putting into the pan has led to its lost of intensity and 'magnetism' .

can u take it back to the shop and see if they can change it.  when popping disk, pl check instructions
